Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the landing gear on a 3Dpro with T-rex,Ark gear etc.
I know that there are height differences and the width of the skids will be different but i am looking for something more durable that will still be high enough that the tail fin wont be touching the ground.
Can anyone help?

Cheers!

2 LG mods. One is a G10 frame offered by MIA. Another is landing struts offered by RC-Helitec. They both are great. I like the RC-Helitec's since it's cheaper and clear in color

3D Pro? I have only "1D" under my belt, what am I going to do with "3D"?

rchelitech

these are great struts--manufactured and sold by rcracer. he also sells an excellent beltdrive upgrade kit.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Hi, Cuda,
I have one guy PM me and told me the skids are sliding around in the RC Helitec's struts. Does yours do the same? How did you mount the skids to struts? I was thinking recommending fuel tubing to hold the skids in place. What do you think?

3D Pro? I have only "1D" under my belt, what am I going to do with "3D"?

i've always used fuel tubing on the skids anyway as dampers....even with the stock struts. so, i've never had an issue.

but, i have to push pretty hard on the skids to get them in the rchelitech struts...no danger of them sliding out. quite the opposite--i'm a little concerned i might break the struts pushing on them too hard.

but, i think fuel tubing would do the trick. that or a small drop of CA.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I just received an email in regards to the struts, it seems the latest batch has too large of a hole and is loose. The fuel tubing might be the best answer, if it's not one thing it's another

I need to look into this and suspect the whole batch is bad.

Send me the bad ones if you have no use for them . I am sure I can find a use or a fix for them
