Hi All,

I am a bit lost - I have a Rappy 50, metal Head, Metal Swash Arms, Rear Servo Mount, GY401, Carbon Tail Fins, Carbon Supports, Antenna run though plastic tube, attached to carbon rods..

The problem is that last time I flew I thought I was getting interference, twitching happening, even on throttle - bit scary.. Today I did not seem to get the twitching but my tail seemed to wag on turns.. It did twitch on hover but not much.. I ended up lubing all tail moving parts with Triflow and flew again - still happening...

This heli was brought second hand, looked like it had never flown.. Someone brought it and too scared to fly it. I beleive the 401 and servo were new as well...

I also had the gyro gain from about 40% to 50% for different flights but it still happens...

Any ideas - I have tried everything now - I have another brand new 401 and servo - was thinking of trying the new servo....

Any Ideas - I just want to fly - not muck around with this problem...

Cheers,

Dale

Seems to be a glitch coming from static current. In my case I faced something similar and the cause was a bad clutch bell bearing. Good luck.

..have a look inside the tail hub.. there is a pin which keep the rear tail pulley on place.. it has the habbit to slip of draging on hub making a score on it and give such trouble on tail and engine handling.

good luck

You are spot on - I just pulled it apart, and yes the pin had slipped and I could see scoring on the Hub... I will test fly tomorrow and post the results... I bet this is what my problem has been...

Cheers and thanx....

Dale.

i hope you really found the problem.. i JB weld the pin, that means that i have to replace shaft and pulley together when i have to replace tail shaft. as you can see in your manual, there is a small screw inside the shaft that ougth to keep the pin in place but on 10000 RPMs obsviouly its not enough.

good luck

Mine tail pin has slipped off several times so I made flatspot in middle of pin.I grinded 0,5 mm of so it can not slipp of anymore.
I also added a tip of locktite to locksrew.
Here is picture of modification similar than flybar is made.
Last time it slipped off temperature was -15 celsius outside so metals might srinked and lock was loose.

Raptor50 and Raptor90
