Can someone suggest a good method of voltage regulation? I have been running a 4 cell 1100 mah nicad (4.5 volt) and just purchased a 5 cell 2500 mah nimh (6.0 volt). Of course the voltage is more than 5 volts and I know the GY410 max operating voltage is 6 volts.

MY suggestion would to have bought FRomeco lithium ion battery and regulator. The regulator and 2400 battery runs about $54. ON my Quick 30 i get 8 or 9 10 minute flights from that combo.

Regulator with failsafe switch.
Radio South has a voltage regulator with a failsafe switch. If the switch fails, it fails in the "on". After you land, the only way you would know the switch failed is that you can't turn off your reciever and would just have to pull the battery connector. When ordering, they will ask if your running digital servos because the voltage I believe is 5.1v for digitals and 5.3v for standard servos. (I might have that reversed).

I run these on all my machines and never had a problem.
5.1v with "perfect switch" and 5 cell pack.
I will continue to run this setup until I go Duralite.

...keep flying it 'till the last part stops moving

Its made by the same shop here in florida that makes the Duralite regs so I imagine they are the same thing.
