Well went out to fly a couple of packs with a friend today. First flight was fantastic no issues and solid as a rock as always. Goto spool up second time and I have a supersonic high pitch vibration on the tail now, enough it vibrated of a nylock for the horizontal fin holder so I did not put it in the air and grounded it. In closer looking at it tonight I thought maybe the front drive of the tail looked to be getting abit work so I changed it out, repacked bearings in the front as well. Set the belt tension and try again, same thing not abit of improvement. I never hit the ground with this heli ever and this is too dam strange. The first flight today was mild and some minor flips and pirouettes as it was chilly out and I didn't want to overdue anyting on the heli or my fingers. All of a sudden this bad tail vibe.... any ideas before I change every shaft there is in it? ,lol.

Hmmmph! +

Could it be one of the screws in the tail rotor hub is backing out?

No nothing like that at all rob. I may have found it not sure. The back tr pulley had 2 small chunks missing from the side rim. No idea how that is for darn sure. I swear I had a perfect flight landed it then spool up and vibration bang! Oh well since I basically carry a hobby shop in my basement, I changed out the back TR pulley with a new one and just to be certain I also changed out the tr shaft and kept the old one to roll on glass later, also repacked bearings on tr components so I will test it again this weekend weather permitting.

It was the small tr hub chip that was doing it, I have no clue how the small chunk departed but it did and wow what a vibration. Anyhoooo all god now, me happy.
