Yes it is a good choice mainly because the amount of help you can get for it and because parts are easy to obtain.
Some may advise you to start with a .30 size heli because they are cheaper however everyone has a different income level and everyone knows their limits as to what that can afford.
Keep in mind Gassers are not as agile as their nitro counterparts however they are very stable.

Good response JB...

He is right...

All depends on your cash flow.. If you rich or have a lot of disposable income, why not dump a bunch into a gasser.

Now, keeping in mind, if you crash that gasser, you are looking at repair costs 2X the amount of any 50 sized heli.... You start talking about some really bucks when you crash a gasser.. like the $300-600 range depending..

Personally, I suggest going with something nitro. Stick with a 50 sized heli..

Well depends on who you ask. Thre is nothing wrong with any brand of gasser however some things to keep in mind are:

1. Can I get parts easy? <---important
2. Are there others in my area flying this brand in case I need help?

As far as which is best it depends on who you ask. If it were me I would get an XL Gasser again because:

1. Parts are EASY to obtain <---important
2. I have owned it before.
3. A lot of the parts are compatible with their Nitor helis.

The downside of an XL Gasser is that the part are a bit more pricy that other brands.

I can not speak for the Preditor however I know the parts are not as easy to obtain versus XL.

I think we have a candidate for understatement of the year.

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.
