I just finished the last part of my build late last night. I had the chance to spool up, and do some light hovering around the yard. Compared to my Blade CP, this thing is a ROCK. The tail pretty much stays where you put it, and the flight response is very precise. Overall, I'm VERY pleased with it.

There was one casualty though....... I was practicing an autorotaion from maybe 15 feet or so, and I guess the stock landing gear didnt appreciate the extra 'BUMP' that she got when she landed. A couple drops of cyanoacrylate and they are good as new. I guess maybe I'll look into some gorilla gear perhaps.

If anyone is thinking about buying a T-Rex, DEFINATELY GET ONE!!!! On second thought, GET TWO!!! That way you'll have a back up bird when you crash.

Get the Align Bump Resistant skids or the Gorilla from RC Hover.

I got the ones from RC Hover and they ROCK! No way you can break them! The bottm of the frame might bottom down but the skids will not break

The Gorilla gear skids are indestructible.

I did the 'jump with my feet squashing them' on 'em when I first bought them.

It's crazy. They bend like rubber but then mold back into the original shape.

Probably the only set of landing gear my Rex will ever have.

... But honey it was only $$$

Gorrila gear is theest. I had to put them through the jump test and twist test for 10 mins sraight and they go back to perfect shape, they are amazing.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

lowandslow,

The talls are exactly the same height as the stock mounts. I called Jeremy because when my order arrived I was expecting them to be taller.

All you get are the 2 plastic skid mounts and 4 screws - but they seem to handle my abuse :0)

I'm on my third pair of stock gear on my SE. I can't seem to make my thumbs work lately. Hit a tree, lost orientation, got it a bit too far away in front of a gray sky. Snapped the little b____s every time. If they could only make blades, main gears and shafts out of the same material.

tough landing gear
Had a boom strike about 60 feet up it looked like a fireworks exploding. Came down like a brick broke the Helidirect main frame but the bump resistance skids were in tack. The only thing is the blue shinny stuff flaked off.I wish you could get them just black.
