Want to buy a couple of 3S packs but there are so many on the market .

I am installing Neu 1105/3y and want some good run time .

Ive been told Evo or Prolite

Has any one tried the new high power Align 18C packs?

Any feed back appreciated thanks.

Ya can't beat APEX 2200 packs....
They are better than prolites for sure and 1/2 the price!
They're heavier and don't have as high a C discharge rating as the TP2100 Prolites.
I've never seen or tried them and am curious why you say they're better?

edit: I see they have an Apex 2100 15C pack out now, maybe that's the one you were referring to.

EVO20
I am running the Duralite Evo 20s 2100mah. 42 amps continuous and 63 amps burst. 177 grams. So far the performance has been excellent. They fit in the T-Rex SE but are too long for the non CCPM model. They also make an 1800mah that fits all at about 140 grams.

I have been flying the Polyquest 1800 XP 20C batteries since they came on the market. And i have never loocked back. They are a bit on the heavy side but no big deal.

can we get some specifics here and some real comparisons?? I here several packs are good but no one has spoke up on their comparisons?

ex... I have used the Kokam 2000, 15C and th TP2100 10c and dymond 2100s I can find no difference in the TP and dymond packs performance. but the Kokam which is very heavy really packs a punch, but even though it outweighs the other 2 the performance is so much better. noticable higher RPMs and much faster climbouts, no bogging compared to the other packs..

so if you have used multiple packs lets here....

Yup Poly-Quest, PQ-1800XP. 1800mAh, 20c you'll never look back. 140grams so not too heavy.

I have used smaller polyquests in foamies.... very nice...

I use Hyperion 20C 1800mAh 3S packs now....

in a head to head they were much better for me than my TP 2100...but the TP were an older version....

I am very happy with my Hyperions....

I would like to try the Evos though

I'm old, bitter, and don't like people.... get over it

i have the apex 2200 12c, TP2100 pro lites as well as the kokam 2000. the kokams are probably a little stronger than the other two but they do not have a cell balancer. but as for the TP's and the apex, i cant really tell a difference, except the apex are a little heavier which actually helps balance my t-rex perfectly. they are also 35.00 cheaper than the TP packs, so that makes it a no brainer for me.

I have flown my Trex with a data logger on board recording battery voltage and motor current. The performance of the Apex 12C 2200 may actually be slightly better than the TP prolite 2100, but there's not much difference.
