Expect a lot of fun time. Also once you are hooked, expect to spend a lot of more (time and money) than any other kind of RC toys

Hi Chris,

Expect to need patience, money, and patience. But it's worth it. You've found this forum, that's the first step. Read lots. I picked up planks fairly quickly, getting these little heli's hovering required alot of time. Well worth it, I love them!!

When you get your kit, give a shout with any questions. The gang here is incredibly cool and helpful!! Be sure to check the galleries of many of the regulars!

Cheers and welcome aboard!!

Get ready to buy a bigger Heli!
I have a Trex and a 3D Pro, but I still like flying my V3, it is a great little Heli and very challlenging to try and fly well.
I run a 2S 1600mah Lipo, it is 3/4 of the weight of the 600mah birdseed battery, and I get 25+ minute flights
Put the training gear on for your first few flights, the U/C is very narrow on the V3, and very easy to tip up, not that it will damage it like a collective pitch model.
You will just get a stiff back bending down constantly to keep correcting the blades etc, there speaks a voice of experience......

Hi Chris,

piroette is just spining the heli in place. If you see other terms you don't understand, just ask. Heck we're all still learning stuff

Do a search on this forum for radd's school of flight. I used this to learn to fly. It helps alot.

Cheers,
Leslie
