Hi All, I need some help can you give me a starting point to set the screws for the gyro gain and mixer gain for my GWS PHA-01 mixer. I also would like to know which gain to set first gyro or mixer. I would also like any tips you can give me while setting up the gains. Thanks for your help...

Go to http://www.gws.com.tw where they have very good web sites on setting the PHA-01.

Basically if you are setting it up for hovering, then put the gyro gain on Maximum (I would use it for trimming as well). Reduce the gyro gain if you want more responsive tail. Then put the tail gain at 1 o'clock as the starting point. Set your rudder trim at zero and start hovering. If your tail is too "powerful" dial down the tail mixer gain (counter clock direction). Otherwise dial it up. I would do 1 tick (from 1 o'clock to 12 o'clock) at a time until I have over done it. Then fine tune it within the 2 dial positions.

Hope this helps

3D Pro? I have only "1D" under my belt, what am I going to do with "3D"?

Hi Guy, Man your advice was perfect. I also used the video on the GWS site "how to setup the PHA-01" and added your advice and now my HB works perfect. I flew the helicopter all weekend. I went through 5 or 6 battery charges. Without problem...I've also added a pair of wooden FP blades from Heli-Fever ($11.00) Wow!! did they make a difference. The HB is now more stable in a hover than my voyager...Again Thanks for the advice it workout great!!!
