I need a lot of help and advice here.

I have a 24 volt MAN truck windshield wiper motor that I need to mount on an ATV for steering.

I need to use regular servo PWM signal and use it to make the ATV turn. Well, a RC servo uses H-bridge to control the motor.
How can I use the servo printed circuit to control the 24 volt motor?

The signal cable needs to go straight to a regular RC receiver and the power for the motor comes from two 12volt car batteries.

Thank you,

Kristjan

It would probably be easier just to start from scratch then modify it. Chances are the windshield wiper motor isnt PWM controlled and the circutry in the unit will not be compatible. Could you please give at least a part or model number or link the item your are talking about. Its hard to help you with such little information.

Why not just buy a very large servo??

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

I can`t buy a large servo.
I have to use the windshield wiper.

Not that much info I can provide.
It`s a product of ITT Industries, a screened 24V windshield wiper motor that has a screw gear (don`t know if it is correct in english) transmission.

Current consumption varies from 5 to 10 amps.

It`s easy to find 4 suitable transistors or a complete H-bridge.

But how to use the servo guts to control it?

K.

have you searched robot sites? Their machines typically deal with such high-power devices under remote control. I even think there's a Team-dyanmic switch (search my posts) that might suit your need (won't be proportional, but it will switch high current motors with two speeeds)

topher posted a site that looks like it would work for your application... the only difference i see is that its a 12 v motor instead....
