I have a 5' X 10' trailer for sale set up for hauling planes and a couple of helis. It is in like new condition and includes a matching spare tire that has never been on the ground. The trailer has about 500 miles on it. I bought it to haul planes and now I fly mostly helis. I also bought a camper to go to fun flys and can't pull both.

It is set up with folding racks to carry 6 planes with the wings removed and has a 5' cabinet with work surface installed. It is 61.5" from floor to ceiling in the center and has a single hinged door on the rear. It is a Horton Hauler and tows very well.

Pics have been added to my gallery!

Asking $1800 OBO.

One thing that would really help would be for you to post some pics. Take a half dozen pics, upload them to your gallery, and then point people to your gallery in your add. Pic says a thousand words, and a lot of people buying stuff online don't consider a seller to be 'serious' if they're not willing to post at least a couple pics.

Scotter,

I would be happy to post some pics to my gallery. If RR would not limit you to posting to your gallery only on Mondays they would already be there. I also have this trailer listed on 2 other sites and there is at least one picture on each. I have sent pictures to everyone who has asked for them in a very timely manner. If I can find time while I am at work Monday I will post some pictures. I sure wish RR would do like everybody else and allow you to post pictures to your gallery whenever you wanted to or, better yet, allow you to post pictures directly to your posts.

If that were the case then shouldn't all newspapers and magazines that collect revenue from advertisers be free?

I just think that RR should be competitive with the other forums out there. Most allow at least a small number of pics without paying extra. I can understand a limit on the amount of space given to a non-paying member for pics as server space is expensive, but I cannot understand the idea behind limiting uploads to a certain day. In this case it is just inconvenient and provides no real benefit to anyone.

As for the advertisers, I am sure they pay enough to keep the site going, but you can't blame a guy for trying to make more money. This type of policy, however just aggravates new people and makes them not want to pay for anything.

Should magazines be free to customers just because of the paid advertisers? Yes, many of them should. Many of the magazines from this hobby have more advertising in them than real unbiased articles. In those cases you can choose to do what I do....don't buy them. I don't like to pay for catalogues just to buy a product and don't believe that I should.

If you feel you are getting enough value for a product, then by all means pay for it. If not, then don't.

If you haven't figured it out yet, RR is competitive with the other forums out there. Each has their own way of trying to entice potential customers to subscribe. It all depends on their method of enticement. Limiting uploads to one day a week is one of the many possible methods of enticement.
If you feel you are getting enough value for a product, then by all means pay for it. If not, then don't.
That about sums it up. Unfortunately, sometimes there are some folks who just think everything should be free.

Thanks, but I already put them in my gallery. It just took several days before I was able to do so. I hope I haven't lost a sale because somebody couldn't look at pictures. You know once somebody looks at a post, they rarely come back for a second look.

That is the 5 X 8 foot trailer not a 5 X 10. It has less capacity, no spare tire and no interior finishing as my trailer has. The price he has listed is the average price for the trailer that he has. The average price for the trailer that I have is $1900 BEFORE all of the additions and the spare tire is added. The spare was $125 and the cabinets and other materials totaled about $200. That makes a retail value like mine sits of about $2225 and that does not add anything for the 2 days of labor to set it up. I think both of our prices are fair for what each of us has. Is a bigger trailer with all of the work done and ready to use worth $325 more? I know I would have been glad to pay that to have bought it already done.

Nice job on the interior, Cliff. I really like the hinge idea. Nice to fold up the racks when you don't need them. That interior is certainly worth $325 if not more. That's certainly more than two days worth of labor when you add in the interior painting as well.

This trailer was set up for planes. I only had 1 heli when I bought the trailer and I just tied it down to the floor. If a guy wanted to haul a couple of helis, they could be tied down to the top of the cabinets and still have the racks for planes. Your setup looks like it works great for helis.
