I want more than 8 min of flying time and I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to a 2 Cell LiPo or a 3 Cell LiPo. I understand that the 3 Cell LiPo would give me more power but I'm thinking the lower voltage of the 2 Cell would help me from burning up the motors. I am still learning so I wouldn't be doing any 3D flying. I wonder if anyone has tried the 2 Cell.

The motor will burn up anyways.. You can slow it down some by using heat-sinks ...
And if you stay with helicopter's you will need more power!!!! If your thinking about money in this hobby ,,,,YOUR IN THE WRONG ONE!!!!

I tried the 2s in my stock blade, The bird would barely get off the floor, The flight time was almost double from the nicads, but it just didn't have power, and power is what makes these little birds fly nice....
Go to the AEK upgrade and 3s lipos. That will save you money by getting the right stuff the first time....
I put the 2s lipos in my fixed pitch v3 and it flies great with them....

Tom..... No "D" flying....
