OK, well it hasnt gone BOOM yet and i dont want it too either...

Now that i have your attention i got a lipo battery and charger from a friend and im not sure how to go about charing this thing. I've tried searching but didnt come up with much. just a bunch of similar questions as i got.

The battery is a ACE POWER 11.1V 3S2P 2100Mah Lipo

"It offers a continuous Discharge of 10C (21A) with bursts of 5-10s of 13C (27.3A). the cell should be charged at 2A or less. The Maximum charge Colts per cell is 4.2V, and the minimum discharge volts per cell is 2.5V."

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The charger is an Orbit PocketLader (lipo specific)

This charger has charge and discharge settings for lipos. I need to know what setting do i use to charge this lipo... and to discharge it...
can anyone help??

thanks,
orlee

You will want to charge it at 2 amps or below just like it says on the battery. The lower the current you use the better it is on the battery but the longer it will take.Never go over 2.1 amps which is the 1C rating for that battery. As far as discharging goes you really don't have to cycle lipo's like you do NICAD or NIMH batteries. You can disharge at something like 3 to 5C for the first few charges to break in the battery. After that the only reason to discharge it would be to see if it still holds it rated capacity or is starting to go south on you.

I've got an pocketloader ( and a microloader) and they are excellent chargers. always be careful, and always charge the pack when you are near it. I follow that rule for my 2s packs, and i certainly follow it every single time for my 10s packs.

Rhett..... I can't fly, but the Profi sure can.
