i've just built a blue maxir SE---it's almost entirely blue anodized aluminum.

because it's a micro i really need something high visibility. i'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions on a color scheme to go with it. blue is not a very hi-vis color.

at this point i'm thinking dayglo red or green...which technically are tertiary color complements...but, just don't seem to 'go' in my mind.

a brownish shade of orange is the direct complement to this blue....just not thrilled with the idea.

if anyone has any suggestion pix to post, please let me see them.

if it ain't broke, break it.

thanks for the suggestions fellas (and woman )

i got impatient and just shot the thing with a rattlecan of fluorescent yellow. boring, i know. but, the stickers help and, it does look ok with the blue.

with the beautiful weather this weekend i needed a canopy on the frame so i could see the silly thing. its a micro and just disappears at anything past 30 feet.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Almost any neon color. Yellow, green, orange. White. I suggest you get some color samples. See which looks best to your eye.

I posted too slowly. The colors you chose look good. Don't change a thing.

Are you on the list?

floresent yellow/green
i like to paint floresent yellow/green on my birds it looks real cool on the blades at dusk and i heve some of those cool blue l.e.d.'s set so that they shine up onto the blades at night these are actualy in the right spectrum to cause the paint to glow at night sort of a poor mans lighted blades
it is also cool on the fusalage for the same reason

change is easy, progress that's hard
