Hi All

Just got a new 4in1 fom my honey bee cp2.

Pluged it all in to discover that it is totally dead!! (no lights)

After some fiddeling I discovered that if I unplug the servo3 from channel 6 on the 4in1, the 4in1 comes to life? ie red light flashing, then green light. But, when it comes to life, the green light never stays on. and it sounds like one (or both) the servos are trying to do something. (I can hear the little motor trying to move.)

Any ideas what could be the problem here??

Thank you

Just discovered that if I unplug all the servos, and leave the main and rear motor pluged in, the 4in1 initalizes corectly, and the motors respond to the controlls???

The 4 in 1 needs the motors perhaps, to initialize properly, maybe not,

But your test shows that at least one of the servos is keeping it from doing so,

I'd guess one or more is destroyed from pehaps a crash of some sort,,,,

A shorted out servo cable/wire or gears that are stripped and gumming up, might pull the voltage down enough to prevent the 4 in 1 from doing its thing,,,,,

maybe try one servo at a time, maybe in different slots,,,,,,,, use only the ones that actually get a servo,,,,,,,,,,,

this may show you which is doing the damage,

then replace it,

your four in one sounds almost OK,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I would agree, it sounds like a bad servo to me.

.

Don't come off the throttle untill you see your GOD!

jughead,
Were you able to identify the defective servo? It sounds to me like it is shorted internally and dragging down the voltage. BTW the 4-in-1 will initalize without any motors being plugged in.

Hi Gary

I think that it is servo 3 (no 6 on 4in1) When I plug that one in everything dies!!!
I was wondering, would/should a 4in1 not initalize with only two servos pluged in?

I am waiting fo my new servo to arrive.
I will let u know the outcome.

jughead,
Assuming the Tx is set to full low throttle the 4-in-1 should initialize with no servos or motors attached. It does not check for their presence.
