Is the SE really that much better and worth the money on the bling? Or is the plastic CCPM bird just fine? I am looking now and on the fence as to what to do. Any feedback is good.

If you just want to fly, the XL is all you need. If you plan to bling it out later the SE is the best deal.

I'm building the SE now...and it is beautiful...don't know if it'll fly any different.

Thanks guys. I was just wondering what is better overall, seems the more direct linkage to swash would be better on the SE. I do not really care for the setup on the plastic machine. But I did not know if there were huge downfalls on the carbon frame, metal head etc...

The only down fall is the extra $300 for the SE

I did the same brian comparo and decided that as a beginner, the SE-though a bargain for what it coes with will also be a lot less forgiving on cyclic response. The XL's might be better at first with less costly repair bills. heliproz also told me that the mech. mix is more stable than the CCM.

I am experience at nitro and small electric helis, I had the first gen TREX, and it was a pain. I am just wondering is all the bugs worked out of the plastic one now, they seem to be from what I can gather. Or, is the SE that much better that in flight, and in a crash it pays to spend the money up front. ????? I dont want to spend the extra money on it anymore than the next guy, but I will if the flight performance is better, more reliable and its really not that bad after a crash? I want something that is pretty reliable. I realize there will be tinkering, after all, its a heli.

thanks for inputs.
