Hi All,

Let me set the stage; I'm not defecting. But I've received a ton of emails concerning the blade cp.

I have a couple folks at work getting excited about heli's and our LHS carries Blades and a ton of parts.

I'm not familiar with the Eflite line.

So would you hummer guys/gals recommend a Blade CP as a first heli?

Are the parts close to interchangable?

And, of course the demonic question, which is actually better? I mean more bullet proof for a newbie?

I'm inclined to recommend the the V3 but I know alot of you have both so this is addressed you people.

Cheers,
Leslie

Well as you know I have both and Either would make a good first heli. I got the v3 first, being a fixed pitch and built very solid it's a great starter heli and easy to fly indoors.
The blade cp is a different kind of bird, It's collective pitch needs more experience to set it up correctly and you can spend double the original price on spare parts and upgrades in no time..
Once you can hover you will need to go to the 9T motor and 11.1 3s lipos and a DD tail... so you can get 15-20 min flights....
If you want cheap reliable easy to maintain go for the v3... If you like to work on helis (like I do) then the blade would be a grat choice...
Then there is the Honeybee cp2, I don't have one, YET, but I'll find one... It comes with 11.1 lipos,Lipo charger, Bell Hiller head, all upgrades your going to add to the blade cp...for less money than either of the other birds.....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

As you well know the v3 is a very easy heli to learn on and very forgiving with hard landings.... especially if it is being used by someone that doesn't understand what makes a heli fly....
Maybe you should put the training gear on for the gang at work and invite them over to give it a try IF they pay for any parts they break....
