I've got no time to fly my larger nitro heli's so I've decided to try the indoor electrics to practice my orientation over the winter months. I was set to order a Blade CX until I discovered they can't be found. I contacted Heliproz to see what my other options were and they crapped all over the CX and said a XRB was much better (and $110 more) I've read almost everywhere that the CX does have a problem with the trim drifting but I've also read that this is caused by heat and is easilly fixed. So whats the real scoop? I'm just looking for an indoor trainer to practice orientation but I don't want to be contstantly bothered by landing and retrimming. I'd rather spend the $189 for the CX but I'm not opposed to spending the $299 for the XRB if I'm going to be $110 happier with it.

Any other options I'm overlooking?

Thanks for the help guys

A buddy of mine purchased the E-Sky Lama2. This little thing flies well and is as tough as nails. He has had some pretty bad crashes and it just keeps on going.

They are a little less expensive than the Blade CX and just as good or better.

You will not regret getting the XRB. The best flying INDOOR heli IMO.
Very stable and presice.

The e-sky Lama 2 ROCKS !!!!! all the rest is useless. the only good thing in the Hirobo XRB is that it looks better than the Lama 2 but it flies like a toy. I have flown an XRB and flown a Lama2 and got a lama2. The XRB is a toy, super stable, completely unresponsive, barely moves forward and if there is a bit of wind you will never get it back. Its power is very limited and you will be changing blades several times a day as they are made of foam !!!!!

I have the Lama 2 it is super powerful, very responsive and aggressive, has excellent forward speed, does very sharp turns .... is almost unbreakable and even if you desintegrate it to pieces it will still be flyable. I have removed the flybar weights (leaving the rubber tips) and it handles like a real Heli ! Have a look at the below 2 photos to get what I mean ))) In an indoor event where the winner is the last one who stays airborne, my Lama 2 was a champion.

I have a E-Sky Lama 2 and I doubt you will find a better contra heli for the price.

I have seen the BCX fly and it isn't even close to the Lama 2 when FF comes in.

Save $$ and get a Lama 2 and with the extra $$ you save get more lipos!

-= I know there is Money in RC helicopters. I put it there=-
