There's a reason it's ONLY available on XTR.

Sorry, the model formats between XTR and AFPD are different.

the ONLY reason it's on XTR is because someone made it for XTR. if someone wanted to make it for any other sim then there is nothing stopping them.

cheers

Correct! I made it for XTR and since it's the only sim (of the 3 I own) I use the most, didn't see a reason to make one for the rest (G3: still can't make new models, AFPD: not worth it!)

it AMAZES me people who say AFPD isn't worth it. you should consider there are people (like me) who had XTR and didn't like it

i just got G3 this week and this will probably be "the in" sim to get now.

cheers

Thanks.

G3 has been around for a while, and it's been sharing "the in" sim tag with XTR. Don't see that changing, even after KE releases the model plugin (assuming it ever comes true, it's been a long wait and still waitintg).

it's hard to tell RCfan your biased towards XTR.

G3 feels better for helis than XTR and AFPD imo. (AFPD was never great for helis, was superb for planes though, XTR is opposite imo) if G3 can bridge that gap that'll do for me.

the new pheonix sim might be worth a look too!

cheers

I may be biased, but only towards the better sim ...

Both (G3 and XTR) have their quirks when it comes to helis. I don't care much about planes on any sim; who really needs a sim to learn to fly a plank?!?!?

There are some things I like and dislike about both sims when it comes to heli flight characteristics. I like XTR's hovering and autos, but tic-tocs and piro-flips feel better in G3. Helis in G3 feel too stiff though, XTR feels more realistic (maybe it's just the "notion" of the head movement which G3 lacks). Either way, I always seem to gravitate towards XTR; IMO, it feels and looks more realistic.

lol, i'm biased too. towards the better sim, AFPD.

flying 3d with a plank is no easier than flying 3d with a heli. look at what the top plank guys are doing, awesome.

cheers

True, I've seen some amazing plank flying; some manouvers I can't even figure-out how they've been done.
