I already did a search and I am more confused now. I think I know what I need to do but to make sure I will ask. I want to turn the GV1 on and off with the Gear and have the N,St1, and ST2 set at a preset RPM. So I think I need to do the following:

Gear - GV on/off
Aux2 - GY401
Aux3 - GV RPM

Go to the "Dev Sel" screen and set the Aux3 to F.Mode that will set the GV Rpm to the N, ST1, ST2 switch. Set the speed by the Governor "Speed Setting". Now it looks like the Speed Setting can be set by Head Speed or Engine speed (based on the gear ratio). Which is the better way to do it?

I also read that you need to set the SWPt on teh GV so the THrottle hold will work in ST1 and ST2 so you need to have the V curves for these settings for in verted flight so the GV stays on with the low side stick.

I hope I have this right because it kind of makes sense to me. I know the 9303 has a Governor setting page but I don't understand that one. It has % not speed so I think this si the easiest for me unless someone can explain the GOV page set up in the 9303.

Thanks
Irish

In the Governor menu set POS.0 to 0% , POS.1 to 50% and POS.2 to 100% , then set NORM:POS.0 , ST-1:POS.1 and ST-2:POS.2 .

Then plug the GV1 into the gear channel on th reciever . The GV1 will now see the flight mode switch as a simple three position switch to allow you to select three different headspeeds which most be set in the GV1 along with the gear ratio and failsafe settings . Most people then just enable the StSw function on the GV-1 and that's about it .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

On the Set Disp screen do I set the OUT: ACT to GOV on the Gear switch? Will this enable the throttle hold in all three positions? How would I shut off the Gov without using the stick? I would like to have a master switch.

Select Gov . Throttle hold will work as normal from any other flight mode . You won't have a master on-off switch for the Governor , the governor will disengage once the output on the throttle channel is lowered below the theshold for disengagement (20%?) (this is also why throttle hold works) .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

That is what I thought. So if I wanted to tune the engine without the gov on how would I do it?
