I just purchased an M2.5 die from McMaster-Carr. Most of my Japanese bolds are apparently M2.6. They won't go through the die. Where can I find off size dies such as M2.3 and M2.6 ?

thread die
that sounds odd--is that die adjustable; I don't think metric threads come in that small of increments; maybe your die needs to be opened up a little.

2.5x.45 is the world standard, 2.6x.45 is a size that is essentially obselete in industry. For some reason the model helicopter manufacturers keep using it.

MSC has most metric tap and dies. The super specialised metric sources are "metric screw and tool company" and "Metric and multi-standard corporation." I think MSC will have the 2.6x.45 die.
