Cheers gorn! must say its along time since I posted anything on here, just hope with these new birds that the parts prices are not too crazy, as I for one dont intend to go down that avenue again. Im going to wait untill the parts prices list is published, before I commit any cash into getting one.

Thanks for sharing PDF

Cool to see some new concepts and some protech helis without Z-bends.
That pocket zoom with eCCPM and belt driven tail is very cute.

PDF, I hear ya on the price of parts.
Now if this heli isnt priced way out there, then it may snatch sales from the lemon Swift. No'one buys a new heli and expects bent spindles and major vibration issues out of the box. Century have goofed it again, so we'll see if the Zoom is even close in price.
Somehow I think it will be around Mikado price lol

gorn: 'Lemon' Swift, got it in one! That heli oozes potential, but the botch Century seem have made in sorting out the problem..'hear no evil' 'see no evil' 'speak no evil' springs to mind. I cant imagine why they dont come clean and publish whats wrong, and how to fix it. I cannot believe they dont know, they designed the darn thing after all. I really want one to do AP with but Im frightened it will destroy my camera rig with all that shaking and jumping about.
lol and Century reps say..its normal that a heli will shake on spooldown, yeah right, good job Century dont make full size helis, imagine a real one doing that sitting on the runway..run for your life..lol

Back to Protech, I get this feeling that the prices will be Mikadoesque too, the initial Pocket Zoom price of 295 euros says it all, just hope they read stuff like this and take note, but they are from Belgium so I doubt it. Although they did notice when we started complaining about the V1 Zoom manual a few years back so fingers crossed.

PDF, have you thought about a Quick of japan QJ16? 30 size electric, all aluminium as standard and not much more than the Swift. They dont shake either lol.
I see they have a dealer or 2 in the US now, so parts shouldnt be too much of a headache.
I saw the initial price that Protech posted last year for the Big Zoom. Was over $500US. Pics I saw was of an all carbon and metal heli, but looks like some plastic has gotten in there now lol.
Wait and see I guess.
