One of those littel buggers shot my heli down a few weeks ago, it certainly wasn't the pilot!

This was the result of the mole attack on my helicopter. Missile hit it on the main frame next to the tail. Tail boom flew off and i had a big mess.

We've got snake holes all over the place at our field. I saw a 1.5m black mamba cross the road as I was driving out the other day - not so funny - he was heading for the flight line. I always chuck the last fuel of a bottle down their holes .

no, they are more tactical. Rather than hit and hope, they neutralise the pilot. I say if they gonna neutralise you, amke sure the helicopter goin in the right direction to neutralise them first.

I sincerely hope you light those holes that you chuck fuel down lol.

Just so we know, thems not moles, thems gophers (actually Ricardson Ground Squirrels around here). And we have tons of them here. In the spring they come out of hibernation and run around digging holes, mating and creating a ton of little stupid ones. You can often find them squished in the middle of the road. The dig holes on the flight line so using a .22 (if outside of the city limits) or a pellet gun if inside the city limits helps to keep the population down.

Got Money? Send it to me, I'm a Heli Addict.

When them little blighters pop up under the skids you gotta be quick on the collective to keep the heli from tipping over.

Many's the newbie who has had a perfectly good practice session doing bunny hops go bad when the 'ol gopher or mole decides to make a run for daylight. Training gear's about the only thing you can do to slow them down.

Oh for a crossbow.. with laser sights.
