I knew it wasn't recommended but I had the cc25 and planned to run 4S so the current should be lower than 3S. I had also run the CC25 on my Mega 16/15/4(30+ flights w/ 3k head speeds) without issues but swapped to the 450th to try and get battery temps lower(which it did). I managed to squeeze about 5 flights out of it running 3k+ head speeds. The minute I decided to bring the head speed down to see how long I could make a battery pack last the cc25 puffed and I did my first Trex auto from about 3ft. So what should I get, a cc35 $70 or a jazz? I'd like to buy used but haven't seen many jazz sold used. Which one works better in governor mode with the 450th?

you didn't mention if you were using a BEC?

if you weren't.... that is probably what fried... as you need an external BEC with a 4S setup...

as for a replacement..
People love the Jazz (that has a high rated BEC)
but they are pricy...
I use a Quark 33 and am very pleased

I am running the medusa 3A external bec. Servos still work but nothing out of the cc25. Do you have a link to british power products? Are they in the USA? I've never heard of them.

It is not British Power Products. It is Bishop Power Products (B-P-P.com). Very good prices.

Send it back to CC , good chance they'll fix it.

For good combo deals check out rctoys.com They don't sell the 35 but a 45 and a tp2100 prolite is $125.

yeah I plan to send it to castle creations and then save it for my next micro. I don't think I want to risk blowing another controller on the trex.

Does the 450 draw alot more power ? I have an AON 3500 with a ph 25 in it, works great.

I also have them in my planes with static draws at 27 amps and it's been fine.

you may be running the UBEC, but did you DISABLE the internal BEC on the CC25? You have to "cut" the red wire, or make an servo extension that is missing the red wire.

I actually pulled the red pin out of the connector, wrapped it with electrical tape and taped it back on itself. Yes the internal BEC was disabled. I think it was a matter of me trying to see how low I could run the headspeed with the 13T pinion. I plan on always running high headspeeds but just wanted to see how efficient the 450th could be. Guess I should have changed pinions instead of dropping my throttle curve.

This controller had worked fine with a Mega 16/15/4.
