NiHm's have been cited as not able to dump enough voltage/current when used in some setups. Nicads can, hence the caution.

Most NiMHs are more than up to the job, esp those used in power packs ieg GP3000 and higher capacity cells.

As stated, NiMH in thier first few generations had too much internal resistance to deliver the high current digital servos call for.

Trust me they will work just fine with a 5.1 volt duralte setup, thats all I run on all my helis now.

I think the original concern was against using 4 alkaline batteries in the RX.
