We are talking about a brand new heli.

I checked them, and I found them to be OK, having no way or instrument to test them except my opinion on how they look and feel.

Like I said, no vibration except when the tail blades are installed.

COuld it be the rpms are so high it then becomes a must to have the tail baldes perfectly balanced?

In my case main blades needed a scholastic balancing and vibration disappeared.

This carbon boom fantasy makes me laugh, had plenty of times where i could have blamed the boom but persisted and its never left my chopper, a carbon boom is a good vibe 'detector" not "creator'.
I agree with this for sure. Cheers

Yeap itsindilas, I will try balancing again, with the old small piece of tape trick.

SO far, it only vibrates with the tail blades on, so I guess it may be cured like that. I will try to test today.

Just because it vibrates with the blades on, does not necessarily mean that the blades are the problem. If the shaft is bent, you will also find that the vibration disappears mostly without the blades on. This is because the additional weight on the bent shaft will amplify any vibrations. So it is not entirely correct to surmise that this vibration must be due to the blades. It may, or it may not be. It could, for example, be due to failing bearings, bent shaft, among other things.

Ja ja . It is almost funny how people know what is not causing it or how not to fix it.

Well, I'm pretty sure balancing the blades won't help too much unless you got them very badly off in the first place. Why don't you let us know if it solves the problem?

How about the tail rotor hub?

I got a new one the other day and I noticed that one of the screws that hold the blade grips on the hub was not "in line" with the centerline of the hub. This resulted in one of the grips rotating slightly out of true which translates into the tail blade attached to it having different pitch/tracking than the other one.

I have found this to be a source of vibration several times not only on electric but also nitro helis ...

My upgraded carbon align blades were 1/10 of a gram off vs the stock se plastic blades that were dead on. This on a digital gram scale. Do not assume smallcarbon tail blades can weigh the same! So far running the plastic ones.
