exeter_acres,

Not sure I understood the question ...

This is hard to describe in words but here goes:

The "left end" is the 8 pin end that plugs into the balancer and, from top to bottom, pins 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are populated with 1 and 2 being red and the rest are black. (nothing in pins 3 and 4). The "right end" is the 4-wire TP style connector, with the colors from top to bottom: orange, blue, white, and black, with orange being the (+) end of the pack, and black being the (-) end of the pack. The orange TP wire is soldered to the two red wires from the balancer, which were originally tied together before the stock Hyperion harness was cut, and the black TP wire is soldered to the two black wires that were originally tied together before the stock Hyperion harness was cut. The other two Hyperion black wires are tied to the blue and white wires of the TP connector.

I don't have a gallery, so can't post a photo (I think), but if you'll PM me I'll send a photo to your regular email address.

A word of advice. You COULD add a balance plug onto your older lipo's, but it requires special solder and a HOT iron. >800 degrees but you also run the risk of ruining the battery from heating the tabs too long while trying to get the solder paste to produce that nice shiny glob on the tab. In short, it's best just to let the older packs live out the rest of their lives without modifying them. Or perhaps, just cutting the ends open and temporarily clip a balance plug onto the pack for periodic maintanance.

Eraser has the right idea if you aren't comfortable making one.

For my older packs, I cut em open, and balance each cell independently... takes a while, but I can balance them back out with some patience. Then I Pack'er back up and reshrink... I only do this every 6 months or so tho.... if my batt starts to loose some of its oomph...

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

I use the Triton charger with the TP-205 and have been very happy with the combination. The TP-205 tells me that the batteries are ready just as the Triton is ramping down. Great combination.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it!
