Well
After some messing around with my Heli's i tried the gasser clutch
And I've got to admit it does make the heli feel smoother and more powerful

So guess I've got to get me one for my Glow as this clutch is now back in the gasser LOL and the glow is back in bits after a strip down to check the O ring bearing blocks

Hi Steve,

I thionk two differences of consequence between you and Jack are of course (as notes) the blades (the 680V blades load a lot more) and the fuel. You guys convinced me to try Magnum fuel at Mayday a few years ago so I ordered a bunch from Buzz (12H, 20H and 30H) and have been running some tests on them.

In this case I found that the Magnum 20 does produce better power and run the engines cooler then CP15. The higher oil content in the Magnum 20 and the higher nitro makes a bigger difference then I thought it would.

I do not think the OS70 quite has the torque of the YS61ST2, but it should still be able to throw the light (under 10 pounds) Predator SE70 around with some good authority.

I have heard the YS 61 is as powerful or even more as the OS 70, so I was looking at the Webra 75 because it's pretty much priced the same as the OS, so I asked some questions about the Webra, it seam's the Webra is quite powerful but it needs a fuel pump to get the needles constant, so that will bring the price up to $300, same as a YS 91, so for me the YS 91 would be the way to go..

as for this new clutch I would have to have it LOL, I wish Century would offer it in the Predator kits (60/70 SE and 90) kits, I would just hate to have to buy the kit and then the $100 clutch on top of the kit..

Jim,

The new Heavy Duty Clutch is not needed on a glow model. The glow engines turn much higher RPM than the gas, and the gas engine have much more torque than the glow engines, and so they need a clutch that engages earlier and holds tighter than the glow engine clutches. What does work good on the glow models is the standard gas clutch,HW6011A, and is a direct bolt in replacement for the glow clutch. I have this clutch in my OS70 powered Predator SE and it's doing good.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

It was just the standard Gasser clutch that i put into my Glow for the test
I havent even thought about upgrading to the new Gasser clutch yet

Nope, the HD gasser clutch won't fit on a glow machine because the fan is too tall. You would have to machine the fan down to use it on a glow.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.
