Yes we will be posting more video this week. I posted that above with longer aerial clips.

Guys I think the safety issue has gotten out of hand. Yes you always have to put that first no questions but understand we are ask to put these heli's in some bad areas for the SAR's teams and police dept's and I mean bad places. We were told last month by the deputy covering us that this guy will most definitely shoot at your heli but we will arrest him as soon as he does. This was a search and rescue of his son.

We did some of the tightest flying I have ever done with the heli totally black just using night vision so when I fly by a cameraman I have worked with for years and knows me well I guess I have confidence in the equipment and myself to do the job.

This is not an EGO thing like I can fly better than you. We had the park closed for two hours and had paid professionals there doing jobs they normally do.

When we work with SAR's teams and the police that's why we train with them. They are told to know this sound which is the heli and if you hear a different sound then normal take cover immediately.

I really don't feel we are ever unsafe. I do understand some of the points made its just there always made by someone with a competitors product? Personally I think its got a lot to do with me an pushing our products to hard in the beginning on the board by posting and some attacks, not letting the product sell itself. That was my mistake and boy have I learned from it.

By the way for anyone wondering does RunRyder really work to sell products for you. On this one thread our first run on 50 units is almost sold out and we won't be shipping till the 3rd week of Feb.
Oddly enough about 50% are over seas orders so yes it works.

Saftey is an issue for anything you do, heck I could go out my front door and fall down the stairs and break my neck, not likely gona happen but it could. If these were paid professionals, they obiousvly knew the risks involved and they chose to do it, so why does anybody else care, sure it was close to them, I wouldn't want to be the pilot if anything else went wrong from what I can control, I just wouldn't want that on my hands if something happened. They took the risk they knew it, thats their perogitive, and no one else's so let it be!!!!

I posted on your thread and feel the same way. I know I brought 90% of this on AirFoil myself because 4 or 5 years ago I pushed and I mean hard posting why you should buy this. I honestly meant it in a good way we were making really good money shooting and I wanted everyone else who wanted this to take the next step and do the same.

Mark Ryder tossed me a couple of times for good reasons but I actually just wanted people to see you can do this full time make money and have a blast. Well he taught me to let the product talk so that's what I havebeen doing for a couple of years and you know what it has to be good otherwise the safety issue would be mute it would be that thing shoots crap for video.

This whole group needs to get on the same page and work to promote the industry not bash each other down. Yes that's me included and it will progress a lot faster in the main stream.

Products and bickering aside, I honestly think John O. gets a bad rap only because he takes a lot of pride in his work and products. Maybe some people don't like the fact that someone takes that much pride in what they do or they don't quite know how to take it when they express it. Maybe he's ticked off some people for whatever reason. Maybe you think he's arrogant or egotistical. Who knows - who cares? Throw tomatoes at me and "boo" if you want.

IMO, he and others like Jody, Mark, Jeff, DJ, Angelos, Dan (Danno) ... the list goes on and on ... have done great things for those of us who strive to do our best at AP & V. I for one support John for the same reason others support Jody or any other product for that matter -- he keeps his word and treats me with respect. He helped me get started in AP and he still answers my stupid questions when I call him or send him a PM/email. If he screws up, he apologizes and makes it right. What more can a customer ask for? I'm sure the same goes for Jody at HCS.

Am I an "Airfoil guy"? If that's how you want to label me then sobeit. I consider myself someone who supports those who treat me with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. I also support those who's product I believe in. I'm not saying this doesn't apply to Jody. I know his products work. It just so happens that I currently buy my stuff from John and I'm a happy customer. Simple as that.

John,
That has got to be one of the best posts I have ever seen from you.
I am glad to see you are trying to not take this stuff so personally.

Let me get one thing straight.
I don't play favorites. Just because I have one of the "other guys" products does not mean that I will not consider your products.
In fact the whole reason I have been watching this thread is I think your latest design would work well for us.
I could care less what kind of video it produces. We don't do video.
I do see some things in there I would like to change so I will let the others be the test pilots for that design and see what shakes out in a while.

As for my safety comments.
It is NOTHING personal. I would make the same statements about anyone.
I just happen to see the "other side" of things right now with the FAA.
My opinions are purely based on what I have experienced and honestly I would like to see all of us reduce the "ammo" for the beuracrats.
This whole group needs to get on the same page and work to promote the industry not bash each other down. Yes that's me included and it will progress a lot faster in the main stream.
You hit the nail on the head John. This is the ONLY reason I said anything at all about the shots.
We should all be watching out for one another and trying to do things better and safer till this regulation stuff settles down.

No hard feelings and I think everyone on here learned some things.

I still think you should show more mount footage and less "jazz" though.

Hummm I can’t stay out of this now as I have seen a side of John O. I have never seen in his post before A+ John O. You will always see me on post here on rr and will be most positive to both camps! By Gosh we live in America and we should treat each other like Brothers not Enemies!

I would like to follow Big Brother John Crotts and offer my apologies for past events all I want to do now is HELP everyone I can because the more we help each other the better we will feel and progress in this BAD A$$ Industry “Aerial Photo/Video” there is plenty of room for Airfoil & HeliCamSolutions to profit from all & everyone helping each other !!!!!!!!

What a better way start the year off to support the AP Hobbyist & Professionals alike for 2006!

I for one will never post crap and insults towards anyone with AirFoil I will forget everything in the past and won’t look back. 2006 is going to be the best year we all have ever seen & 2007 will be Incredible for AP !

Thanks for being honorable men and posting apologies !

Please start a new thread for your new AirFoil Pro1 mount! As the first parts of this one is not what we want everyone to see! Up to you.

Congratulations AirFoil on your new Mounts !

Thanks Tim

We are shooting new video and if Mark will let me I am going to start a new thread and hope we all work together on the positives and not bash the negatives.

There's really not a big group on here that shoot video or stills. I really think everyone will benefit if we just work towards pushing the job ideas in what we do. We have a gold mine here in my opinion and were fighting over little scraps of coal when we should be pushing each other to the next level.

I do apologize. I will be the first to admit I’m an aggressive SB and pushed to hard and at the same time should have walked away from this computer and not taken it personally but that's not me. I took it personal and got pissed so we fight and accomplished nothing.

Well its 2006 and I hope we all work as a team. There's plenty of business and you never know who's going to have a great idea that may not post it for the fighting.

We are all better than this.
