Torsten, are you able to make some videos? I hope to see some more videos than the official ones.
I'm beginner and like to see how other newbies successes with the setup of it.
Also I'm thinking why those laser readers aren't so precise as the ones that professionals uses to build houses (they are extremely precise). It might be that I have no idea what I'm talking about, if it's so, please forgive me.

Hey guys,

just one question: why do lots of people in here ask for a source to purchase the HC from? Shouldn't it be possible to get it directly from the manufacturer? At least the web site says so (http://www.helicommand.com). For outer Europe Captron is responsible. That's how I got it.
Does anyone know about the shiping costs? Or maybe this is the problem?

Greets,
CJ

Hi,

I posted here in this thread already a link to an international product flyer from Captron containing their pricing as well. As it was told me within an e-mail contact w/ Captron they currently prefere shipping by UPS - so you may have a basis to get an idea of the approximate shipping expenses.

Leader,

"Laser"? The Position Mode of HC isn't using a laser - as the company "General Laser", manufacturer of a well-known IR device, isn't applying laser within their stabilizer.
???

Oh, thanks for telling me that. I had tought so far that it's a laser product. No wonder why the fully working height is limited to 3 meters (that's common to infra red devices that uses IR-LEDs).

HeliCommand
The most expensive one, HeliCommand-Profi looks strange:

Oops, sorry, you're speaking about the cost expensive professional version. I'm not familar with it so I cannot say if there is a laser involved.
Sorry about the confusion.

What sensor would make that possible. I didn't think the HC had any external sensors other than position hold and I can't imagine how it would cause that reaction. Wierd.

I'm not suggesting you didn't know what you were doing.

Just didn't know how something responsible for position hold would over-ride the stabilization sensors. That would be an unfortunate situation. You can disable the position mode, no? Probably still be scary to put your heli back in the air after that, huh?

Hi guys,

I and my friend Hino bought a H-C Rigid respectively for
multi blade micro helicopters. Though I do not know whether people
here are interested in such a category, I want to introduce a thread
including our quicktime movie concerning this at

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567794

We are using the position mode but never using any peculiar functions
of Rigid (so only using the functions of A).

HC thumbs up
Just got done with my third flight with my HC. I havent used the position option. I installed it on my trex 450. While not foolproof, I think this sytem is much better than any infa red system I have used. Even though its based on two gyros it does a good job. It has a remarkable way of leveling itself.

I tryed every way to fool this thing except for going inverted. I did long prolonged dives at steep angles. This was 50-100 ft up. When I let go of the sticks all I got was a fast level drift. Quick deflections that would make a machine exponentially dive were quickly corrected into a level hover.

I do think Infa red sensors have a better reference for what is level. If you are a beginner pilot there is good arguments for both systems. If you are intermediate(myself) I think this system is a much better choice. I say this for intermediate pilots because as long as you dont roll the thing or let it on its own(no stick input or correction for prolonged periods) you will be relatively fine at high altitudes. Time for a try on the jokester.
