Logo 14 setup and questions
I am looking a good setup for the Logo 14 what do you recommend?
What pack, motor, controll, servo's for cyclic and servo for tail.
Do you recommend on some upgrades? if yes which?
What is the size of the tail blades that comes with the heli?
I saw the video of Andy Rummer at the Ircha 2005 and I saw he has a red fin, from where I can buy fin like that?

Pack: If you plan on doing 3D then 10S2P, either the 4000mah or the new 4200mah packs

Motor: Either the Tango 45-06 or 45-07, for the 45-06 the 12tooth pinion, and for the 45-07 the 11 tooth pinion

ESC: Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32 or the new CC 85HV, Jazz is been proven to be real good

Servos: Futaba 9650 or JR 3421 on swash

Gyro & tr servo: Your choice

TR stock blades are plastic and I believe they are 85mm.

Upgrades: Tail thrust bearing upgrade, pre drilled servo plates, aluminum motor plate, open cf tail rotor case, logo 20 boom, belt and tr pushrod to run 600mm main blades.

Hope that helps to narrow it down abit for you

How is the 94758Z for cyclic?
For tail I go with the CSM SL 720 + 9251 or the 9254 I still need to decide.
Motor: I talked with Mikado and they recommended on the Plettenberg Orbit 30-12 with fan + 14 teeth.

Pack and esc: I go with the TP 10S2P 4200mah and the Kontronik 55-10-32 with heatsink.

Blades: I think to go with Sab for main 550mm and for tail 80mm white.

The Orbit is a great motor for hard 3D. It has a higher no-load amp draw than the Tango...

So it depends on how you want to fly it... Constant hard 3D -> Orbit, mix -> Tango will give more time in the air, but not quite the kick of the Orbit.

I have heard the 4200 are a tight fit. I like the 4000's, they fit very well. You could also shim the frame to hold the 4200's sideways, they are a hair wider..

Blades, I recommend the Mikado/BBT 580's. I've always loved BBT blades, Mikado made a great choice on blade supplier... JMHO

Sorry, can't help on the servos. Don't even know if they would fit in the servo adapters... The 9650's are hard to find along with their gearsets, you may want to look into the JR's...

I like the stock tail blades. Andy uses them, so they should be good enough for me I didn't see a red fin on his heli at IRCHA, but if you like a red fin, you could always paint it!

I guess the question is, how will you fly?

I do loops, stall turns, Cuban eights, from upright or inverted - smooth, large stuff. My motor is Tango 45-08. With this kind of flying, full collective is 35% of the time, "zero" is 15%, and 65% the rest (50%). This duty cycle works very well with the 10S2P 4000 mah packs.

On the other hand, if you fly the popular USA "Hard 3-D" and pull full 11 degree collective just because it's there, you will shorten the pack life.

Some folks use a different Tango to circumvent this.
I suspect they should have limited their collective..

But whatever works!
