Glowire doesn't work :(
My wife buys me the Super 60 Heli Kit from Glowire and I am finally able to try it out. I get the yellow mounted, and tested. Works great. Then I get the aqua mounted to the body, turn it on, and it lights dimly for a second, then dies. I tried both drivers and fresh batteries and neither works on that wire.

I am very disappointed in the quality of the glowire. I had tested both the wires just after xmas with success, then just hung it on the wall until I was able to fly my heli. I hate to imagine what would have happened if I had been flying and the glowire stopped working!

Guess I get to see what the customer service is like.

It's happens...if you just bought why not give them a call? They're pretty good company to deal with. I'm pretty sure they'll make it right.

Okay, I did contact sales via email. They to try clipping the end of the wire with sharp wire cutters and that most of the time this will solve the problem. I did that and it works!

Night time flying ROCKS!

I would suggest if someone has a similar problem to contact them BEFORE trying to cut the wire, since they say in the docs that come with it they can't accept returns if you cut it.

I need to ask them however WHY that fixed the problem, and can I expect that the wire would stop working like that again, or if it would happen in the air.

Since cutting a bit off the end fixed it.
What is in the glow wire is a center conductor and 2 very tiny wires wound around the center wire.
What happened to you is that one of the very thin wires shorted to the center conductor. This usually happens with a dull cutter.
Buy cutting a bit off the end you removed the damaged part.
As long as you put a piece of shrink tubing over the end you should not have to worry about it happening again.
