On the 8103 and CSM 420 micro what is HH and rate settings for gain
in the manual can't really figure it out
on setup I just plugged the wire into rud/gear sockets
did the quick setup and in gyro setting on the 8103 i set it at 75H and 25 low is that correct ?

If your gain is plugged into the gear channel you need to use the gear channel travel adjust setting to set the gain.
If you want to use the gyro menu, you have to plug the gain into the aux2 channel.

They both can set HH or rate, but the % numbers will be a little different.

Using the Gear channel: One side of the gear switch will be HH, and the other will be rate. The gain value is simply the % value set in each direction.

Using the Aux2 channel and gyro sense menu: 0% to 50% will give HH, and 50% to 100% gives rate.
The way to calculate the gain as seen by the gyro is like this:
HH: (50 - gyro sense value) * 2
Rate: (Gyro sense value - 50) *2
As an example if you want 70% gyro gain that would correspond to gyro sense values of 15% for HH, or 85% for rate.

The gyro sense can be assigned to the rudder dual rate switch, or to automatically follow the flight mode (which I prefer as its one less switch to worry about).

Hope this helps.
