"post reply" issue
After typing my reply, frequently posting fails when I click on the "post reply" button. The page jumps back to the top, but the edit window stays active. If I click again a message appears that you can't post a second time. If I open a new browser window and retry to post in the same thread, it works.

This might be a cache issue.

I had this problem occur again.
It said something like "already posted" when I tried to post something. And nothing had happened...
I removed cookies and had to log in again.
Then I had to find back the thread.
Then it posted OK
Is it possible to do something about this issue? It's pretty anoying...

Why do you want to double post?

Has happened multiple times to me when editing a post that I just made.

Gives me some kind of error stating that I just posted this, even though I have changed the info.

Cleared out Cache, flushed DNS. Does it all the time.

The "Already Posted" message isnt correct. This happens to me when I edit a post and try to post it again.

The "Already Posted" message is by design to prevent double duplicate postings. Click edit to edit your posts.

Mark,
No, the reply is not posted at all!!
I just get this message that it is already posted, but the point is that this message makes no sense.

Got it again now.
The exact message is
Reply already submitted. Press F5 or Ctrl-R to start over.
Well neither F5 nor Ctrl-R do anything and honestly I didn't expect it to do anything on a macintosh

If you try again you get
Reply already submitted. Press F5 or Ctrl-R to start over.
Strange also is that I opened up a new browser window and it again asked me to log in. That may be a hint to where the bug is

This was not a bug. It's a browser and or ISP cache issue. I have added time stamp info to the "Please start over" yellow error message.Mark Ryder

Ive done everything you suggested and it still havent resolved a thing, the only thing I can do to post is to copy my message, then refresh, which erases what I wrote, the copy the message back and submit, then it goes but quite frankly this is a pita to do. Everything was working fine until it was switched over to this V2.
Oh Well I guess I wont be posting on here anymore, not that it matters.

RR is trying to prevent accidental duplicate postings with the new code. If you have cache issues then you will have problems.

What do you think? Misunderstanding, bug or cache?

Isn't it possible to make a workaround? As someone said the previous version of RR did not have this issue. Furthermore, I'm using Netscape 7 and Netscape 8 is not yet available for Macintosh. Anyway isn't Netscape a common browser? I don't like IE because of all the security issues for microsoft products.
