Trouble removing fan....
For the first time ever, I am having a really hard time removing the fan from the engine.
The collet strikes!
Any tips?
I tried heat and pressure from below the fan with a flathead screwdriver.

I need help....

Avoid the screwdriver and pony-up a bit more on the heat. My bet is that your split collar is a used one and you have a ridge built up either from a slightly off-center collar or a build-up of loctite. BTW, order and replace the split collar with a new one and, while you are ordering, get a couple of spares. My advice is to always replace the split collar whenever you remove it. Quite honestly, they are throw-away items and single use.
