and at the beginning of the video, there is a little electric heli on the table. after it lifts off, the blades move. the air from the flying heli must have moved them.

This is obviously Darwin's theory at work here. Sure they get a thrill and I agree that no one is strapped down to watch. Darwin will take place soon enough...

Yup. Good luck on recovering the security deposit on that apartment!

I can't imagine that all here on this thread that are hammering these nuts for such a dangerous stunt haven't had their name up for Darwin award nomination at one time or another. A drag race here a parachute jump there bungee jumping aligator wrestling or whatever gets your adrenaline flowing. Especially if there are a few pretty girls in the audience you are trying to impress. Been there done at least some of that. Not gonna lie that I haven't. Not gonna berate these guys for it.

True that it may send the wrong message to a newbie so here is the disclamer:

PEOPLE! DO NOT try this at home. Try it at you friends apartment and let HIM loose the security deposit.

Thank you and have a safe evening.

Parachute jumping
cant see the attraction of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
Strongly agreed.
I'm an airplane pilot and the only time I flew a parachute dropping mission it seemed so freakin' insane watching the guy throw himself out of a healthy plane that it made me sick! You can bet your 14MZ that I will never ever do this for the "fun" of it!

Funny, I still have strong feelings about that moment despite the fact that this happened 18 years ago! How's that for a remarkable experience!

another thing.... why would the idiot give the controls to an unexperienced pilot in the living room.... I would feel a little more at ease if somebody with experience would be hovering in the apartment....

No question at all in my mind that the video is real. They had the front door open, stuff was blowing around (blinds, rug, other heli blades on the table, etc.). The real pilot is in the open doorway - you see him at the start. The stills may have been debateable, but there's no doubt about the video.

Living room? Shucks, that's nothing! How about a phone booth? - now that would be something to see!

Does anyone here have Bill Hemphill's videos showing him hoveriing his huge bipe and grabbing it by its tail and him laying flat on the runway while hovering it over his body? If you've got it post it here. It would be a good video to go with this one!My motto is this..Fly...Rebuild...Fly

Scary stuff. However.....
A few years back . . . .

Corpus Christi, TX Rick's RC Heli flyin, Dave Storey actually hovered and flipped a 60 size JR bird in Rick's Warehouse. This room is not all that big people, and there was about 70-80 other rotorheads watching this feat. (And,Yes, I was one of the "spec'tatters" )

Gotta love rotorheads! Dam bravest people on earth! Admittedly, we may not be the smartest!

That is the stupidest thing I've ever seen on RR. Looks like he was flying nose in unless the pilot was sitting on the couch. I'll bet his wife wasn't home. The mice will play when the cats sway:D
