It is possible to run Windows in the new Macs released couple of days ago. So Reflex will run in "WinMac"

They'd need more than a bios to boot windows.
Would deff have one of them new macs though
But saying that if i will never see a good mac heli sim i'm gona bite the bullet and get a cheap laptop and play on low fi settings.

Cosh i run a G5, what i started out with is http://www.alphamacsoftware.com go here and try that sim, believe me it is not a Reflex or a G3 which i now use with my windows on a laptop but it is nonetheless good to start learning how to hover and fly around. I learned hovering and forward flight on that, i then got the G3 to learn autos and other sorts of thing but the alphamac you can fly inverted and all so it is not soo bad...hope that helps....Ivan!

there is an exceptionally high chance that the new Intel macs WILL Be able to dual doot Windows - it is expected that the EFI (Extended Firmware Interface)will run Windows - Intel Australia have said that the intel 945 chipset (assumed to me in the intel mac) support EFI and therefore can boot XP

We need to wait until we have them in our grubby hands before we can rule out windows on a mac just yet,

Better than a Windows or a MAC would be to run XTR in Linux.Stan

right.

because if the market for a Mac based sim isn't microscopic enough, you
want to a femtoscopic market for Linux based sim.

Z11355, did I say anything about what size the market would be? I sure the market would rather small because people like you probably don't even know what Linux is and its capabilities.Stan

well duh.

first off, market share is ALL they care about and not your 0.0001%
of desktop Linux. No sane small developer is going to do it.

As for my personal experience......

Does starting Linux 0.98 off floppy on a 386 count?

How about running/managing enterprise level VAX, Apollo, SunOS, Solaris, OSX, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Linux for 22 years? Might
I know something about Un*x??????????????????

News flash, in true enterprise level stability, Linux is
garbage. It's fast and cheap but a PITA when I've got
millions of dollars of customer data on the line.

So, basically, 'stuff it'.

serving up webpages ala PHP, MySQL, etc is not that tough.

Quality? I'd venture to say that you have the custom
chips my company designs and makes in a range of electronic
goodies you have, from iPod, digital TV, DVD, CD, camera, PCs,
routers.

Maybe it is just me, but I really think it is funny that the television commercial makes it seem like Intel is now better because they are making hardware that goes into a Macintosh.
