If your not crashing all the time, then fly the heli that performs best for YOU. Dont worry about the Rex being the latest thing.
Im sure its a great heli, but with a little work so is the Shogun, and you already have that so its cheaper
Do a search in Google and you will find a LOT of cnc upgrades for the Shogun. Microheli, Heliup, SP, Duzi and some stuff from Helidirect.com
For the love of the hobby

How much you asking in US Bucks?
I still love the Shogun and frankly am Pissed that they are lagging behind. I have heard that new Shoguns are sitting on the shelf in Hobby stores everywhere. They had it all at one time,,,Hell I paid 200 BUCKS for the V1 kit when it came out!!!! Parts will die out as sales diminish. It is a shame. This was at one time the Hottest list on Runryder and the Trex was an over achiever with lousy product quality,,I own a 450XL now and can say this thing flyies great,,like a nitro bird ,,like the Shogun V1 when I got it sorted out with a very few
AfterMarket parts.
I have parts for 2 Shoguns in my basement and am putting together one last one,,cause I still like it.
Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them
