Great movie, i believe that all but the Pavehawk over the water were army birds, AH-64's, CH-47's, UH-60's, and OH-58's.

Love the Apache at the end doing the roll and the stall turn, who says the AF has all the fun

Yeah the AF really doesn't have that many helo's and the ones that they do have are all SAR birds (except for the Huey's that they use for missle field support). But on the plus side not many pilots want to be Heli pilots so it leaves more spots open for mePeace through superior firepower

I just love arguing here

The M/HH-60G Pavehawk is the only member of the H-60 line of helicopters to have a refueling probe.

It may be an Army bird but it is still a Pavehawk

Ya got me. I didn't look at the paint scheme close enough. The Pavehawks have a camo scheme and the Blackhawks are the army drab.

You can see how i was confused

I hate to be wrong but you must accecpt defeat when it is handed to you.

BTW AF all the way!

Not all airforce pavehawks have the cammo paint..im in afghanistan and i fly blackhawks for the army. we have three pavehawks here with us and the are solid grey. As far as the airforce having all the fun? well the airforce guys here fly maybe 20 hours in the breif 4 months they are here, while army guys fly over two hundred in the same time frame. BTW i think the video is from flight school in fort rucker at least thats here i got it 4 years ago

What's with the extreme angle of attack on the rear elevator/horizontal stabilizer. I notice all the *hawks are like this in a hover. Is it used as an air brake? To keep the tail up at lower speeds?

its called a stabilator and its not an airbrake. Basically what it does is enhance the handling qualities of the blackhawk throughout different modes of flight. like in the picture the stabilaotr is programmed down because his airspeed is next to nothing(less the 40-50knots), it keeps the nose down. As airspeed increases it will start to program up making the blackhawk a more stable platform. If you have any more question let me know!!

now, that would make a great scale heli project with a servo controlled stabilator that adjusts thru a mix or gyro...

cool
