This will be my last flight
AAAAHHHHHH! I know not to say this and sure enough it came out of my mouth. With half a header tank I went in. I am an idiot! I just gave my wife a lecture on not saying that line when she is with me at the field. Oh well. It's not that bad new head and tail boom, blades and some time. It was such a great day too. One of those days that was 65 degrees, light breeze and great flying most of the day. Oh well I am off to the repair bench. Have fun!
Practice! It might be costly but it's the only way we get better!

I believe in the bad luck of that statement too, to the point that even if whatever I am doing is the last one for the day, I'll tell myself in my mind that I'll do a couple more and trick the gods. Nick Crego

I've seen many crashes in my short time in the RC hobby and to this day i have only seen ONE that was followed by that statement. If you ask me i'd say you're better off if you say it every time!--Eagles may soar high, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!--

I think the phrase "don't worry, it'll be fine" is the worst.

I avoid the statement too! I might be thinking it, but I'll never say it. I even go as far to never start putting up any of my flight gear untill I'm done flying.

Sorry to hear about what happened.
I just gave my wife a lecture on not saying that line when she is with me at the field
So what did your wife have to allow?

I always say I am going to do another flight.

The funny thing is the crash usually always has to be the last flight of the day, unless it's very minor.

Shortman,

by definition, the crash is at the end of the day. Because after the crash, your flying day ends .

If I hear myself say or even think, "I've just got time to squeeze in one more flight," I pack up and go immediately. I have experienced the pain!Rob.

hehehe, Whenever you say your Helicopter is running good, chances are it will crash within the next two flights.

I never say anything when flying..

You get that long? Mine turns into a cruise missile headed for the ground within 30 seconds when I say something like that. I now tell it that I'm pissed that it sucks all the time. Then it stays together.

another rule I try to live by is, never try to fly with too many people who are better than you.

it will get you overconfident when there done flying, you will start saying stuff like,

"let me go ahead and do that "tic-toc" i talked about last week"
