Are you finding slop in quick UK grips
was dealing with a friend's eolo, and he asked me if it was normal for the metal grips to rock back and forth. Upon inspection, I noticed that when you rock the grip, the bearings closest to the head seem to be moving inside the grip. I don't think this is a big deal, but I was surprised to see it.

Hi Stet,

Just tried rocking my metal grips back and forth - they seem to be tight.

What comes around goes around.

My grips seem to have developed slop but I haven't taken it apart to see what was going on. I suspect worn out O rings. It is normal for it to rock a bit in order to dampen cyclic movements. Its supposed to be tight though. However, in my case it doesnt seem like dampening and it seems more like actual slop.

If it is the orings, you might double up the brass washers that compress them, I found this greatly improves the mush factor on the head

In the case I looked at, the bearing closest to the head block was moving inside the grip. I don't think it is any kind of problem.
