The trick is.. there is no trick, practice / practice /practice.

about the only advice, when in a normal nose in hover, is ...

STICK TO IT. if the choppers move left, move the stick left, if it moves back move the stick back... STICK TO IT.

only works while not inverted..
-= I know there is Money in RC helicopters. I put it there=-

well i bit the bullet and threw it in to foward flight..... and...... i still have a bird.. it wasnt to bad.. had some orientation problems.. but i think it will just come with learning to fly. i was able to get some nose in at a slow flying speeds. I think knowing the foward flight will help get out of trouble alot easier while practicing nose in hovering. thanks agian for all your guys help. i am a better flyer today becasue of it!!!

Great post!! I too am getting ready to do some FF this weekend. I did some piro's last weekend and was quite comfortable with them. Tried a quick nose in, held it for about 5 seconds and ye-ha!! Pretty ugly, but I saved it. I agree that FF with lazy 8's will help out. There is some great advice on this post, so keep it up guys!!!!!

I set a personal goal for myself, and that's learn something new every time at the field. I can usually go only once a week, so I practice a new maneuver on the G3 through the week, and try it on Sunday. If I crash, I crash trying something new, so no big deal.

After reading all this I wonder If maybe I went to fast into forward fliight. I can nose in ok, but not as well as I should. I went from stable hovers, tail in to forward flight, stall turns figure eights etc. I even did some inverted last weekend. I just havent focused ont the nose in, I land coming from my right or left in a normal pattern, so the bird is always nose in for about 50-75 yards on final. I actually touch down right in front of me (or at least thats the focus)as much as possible. I guess I need to go back and focus on just the nose in hover a bit.

Practice, practice.....
