One might constrew that statent meaning you have actually flown one
Only you, DOUGLAS, because you have some vendetta gainst me would look clear back into my posts to find something to try and attack me

First off - my 70% curve (used only in NORMAL mode, my Idle ups are standard V shapes, 50% to 100%)is giving me the 1650 - 1700 rpm at the head I need for take off and gentle flying without bogging - When I hit the Idle up switch, away it goes

Also, a friend of mine has had the MP50 since it came out, I fly with him every weekend, his machine moves like a 90 - if you have ever seen one and watched it fly, you would understand. You dont have to fly a bird to see what it can do.

I am no PRO - But that does not make someone automatically inferior. Anyways, continue searching all my posts for some kind of other thing to attack me I on the other hand will enjoy my day

Hi Guys
The thing is when you fly something a lot you get used to it and its little habits you tend not to notice when it does bad things as you tend to adapt to it as you go along its like the first time I flew a Raptor after flying a Barron 30 I thought WOW what a awesome machine this must be the way forward and it was then but there must be something else now waiting around the corner.
If you was to go back in time to say 1988 and go to a flying club with a Evo50 OS hyper and a jk hatorri pipe full digi servos and a 611 gyro set to the dogs and start flying it the way we do today they would be phoning the police like you was some sort of alien better still if you took Joe Bloggs away from his Concpt 30 and let him have a go with it would blow his mind.
All I am trying to say is I think there is some really exiting things to come I am not saying that Raptors .EVO's are crap they are very good machines and all current and older models have played a massive part in the current development of rc helis.
my main aim when i started this post was to see what you guys as 3D flyers wanted from a next generation 3d machine what you want may not be available yet ! Heading hold was not 15 years ago was it.
The other thing is if a Evo or a Raptor or a Caliber is the best there is at the moment just think of what’s to come. In my opinion I think there will always be a big market for 50 size helis.

I wonder if you guys will all be flying your pefect EVO's With stiff head dampers in 5 years ??? I dont recon i will be flying my EVO in 5 years it will be somthing very different i am sure

PMFJI, but 180 degree is just 2 servo CCPM. We used to use that on the Heim Star Ranger with an idler block on the mainshaft for the fore/aft pitch lever.

Douglas, it is ridiculous to constantly assert that the Evo is the greatest thing ever, and nothing else has merit. It is even more ridiculous to assert that there is nothing that can be improved. There is always room for improvement. Yes, I think the Evo is better than a Raptor, but it is not night and day, it is shades of grey.

The amazing thing is that you seem to actually believe the crap you post, and it's not just ribbing the other brands (the Toys R us comment was hilarious in the other thread, BTW). There are plenty of people out there flying all the different brands agressively that there has to be at least one guy flying a Raptor 50, a Raven 50, a Caliber 50, and any other heli on the market that flies better than you, and knows more than you. Surely you don't believe that each one of those guys would improve if they would just grab the controls of an Evo. Do you?

The point of this thread is what the future of the 50 class is, not what the current state is. The 50s will continue to evolve, Hirobo will discontinue the Evo, and TT will kill the Raptor, as will all the other manufacturers. What is the future fo the 50 class? I dunno, but I anxiously await what replaces the Evo, because I love mine, and whatever replaces it will be miraculous.

Personally to improve I think a lighter and tougher airframe while keeping the costs down. The biggie is the engine which is a pain in the butt if you just like the flying, don't know the answer and it doesn't seem to be electric at least in the next generation. But an engine with auto mixture & inbuild gov and bearings that don't wear out or corrode fast would be a major plus. Hows that.

You are not understanding what i meant. I mean that MY EVO flys exactly like i want,it does everything VERY well. It hovers rock soild, cyclic is crazy fast, and flys like on a rail in FF. For hard 3D which is what i fly it is perfect just like it is,otherwise i would change whatever it needed. I am able to do crazy things just like on a flight simulator, the heli feels very light in the air. I am NOT saying it is the greatest thing ever, just theres nothing i need to change. Sure things change,if they didnt we would be still be using Transmitters with elevevator only.

Ahhh... I see. That makes more sense, I was reading it as an absolute. In that case, I agree, mine does everything I want it to do as well, and until there is something significantly better (or I destroy it), I'm not going to be upgrading either.Nick Crego

The next Evolution will be an EVO 60 in a 50 size frame.

That about sums up what I'm thinking on as well. Also, who says Hirobo, TT or any of the current popular brands have to make the next big thing? Remember, Raptor came out of nowhere it and just took over the heli market.

Not being a wise guy but, what's your idea of hard 3D?
Also as a side note-you can see the full potential of the evo 50 in the 2005 xfc dvd by sks.Pete Niotis lights it up and also does a low inverted auto.

I cant hold it in any longer i have to say somthing!!!!!
I saw somthing very special the other day a prototype of a possible new 50 size heli sorry i cant say any more but i can say it looks better than a scooby or a raptor and it is built from quite comman parts you will just have to wait and see but it will be worth it.
