I started at 2C and shifted up from there.

I'm using an Orbit but I do the downshift manually, I believe there is a new chip for it available now that is capable of a higher charge rate controlled by software though.

I'm just waiting to see if there is any problem with cycle life atm but I'm sure I will manually destroy the cells before the charging kills them

Phil,

Please keep us updated how ths works out for you! Its another reason im so interested in these new cells. The fact that faster charging times will allow you to spend the same amount of time at the field on fewer packs. This really becomes an issue when you have to spend 550USD* per pack for an E-Raptor.

*** BEGIN SPECIAL DISCLAIMER AND FOOTNOTE FOR WRXRonald ***

The 550 USD price tag refers to the following pack:

TP4200-10s2p Pro Lite
Thunder Power "Pro Lite" LiPo Electric Flight Pack
4200mAh, 10s2P (37V), 13 gauge wires with two separate 6-pin balancer connectors 6-pin and 4-pin balancer connectors
Rating: 15C (63A) Continuous Discharge, 20C (84A) Burst
Dimensions: 47mm x 200mm x 52mm (924gm)
List Price: $569.95
Price: $549.95

Additional note: Even though this is a 4200mah pack its actually made of 2100mah cells configured in 2 sets of 10 cells in a series which are wired in parallel for a total pack capacity of 4200mah

You kinda asked for it! Good to see you can take it as well as you give it.

Also if anyone is interested, i started a thread which was moved and closed about these cells which contains the link to the same thread im following where people are actually testing these cells.

Its on another forum and was closed because i linked to this other forum so PM and i will send you the link if you want it.

The Milwaukee V28 (7s1p 3000mah)packs are Emolis cells.

The Dewalt/Bosch A123 will be 36volt packs (9s1p), not sure of the mah capacity. http://www.36volt.com

I should add that when I provided them my power requirements (11.1v @ 25amps) the response I got was that they would need to be ran in a 4S configuration.

IMHO, I think they overshot my expectations. Unless current draw is an issue, I bet these cells will work great in a 3S config.
