Q60 PRO Carbon
Hello,
I have two Q30 learner's and the Q60 Pro Carbon. One learner is pretty much a parts machine at this point...

Anyone (QWW) know if it's possible to upgrade the Q60 PRO to driven tail using the Big Bertha upper frames, main gear, mainshaft, belt drive shaft? What other components are needed? (if possible)

I bought a Q50 Pro last week. I went into the store just to browse, and Irwin and staff couldn't be nicer. He even offered my stepson a part time job but we live a little too far away. It took me about 2 hours to decide between the 50 and the cool electrics he has there, hemmin and hawing between the different models. These thing were built like jewels compared to the 30 size plastic helis I've owned, and I really hesitated stepping up to quality heli like this because I figured I'm just gonna crash it like my others, but after I saw all the spare parts in the warehouse, I was sold.

I've been flying on and off for years and I'm happy to do simple circuits without impact. Now I finally bought a sim. Maybe the pucker factor will subside a little.

Good buy Tom.

You will find that Q50 Pro to be very stable and easy to fly. I own a Q50 and a Tiger 50, and even though the Q50 cannot come close to the acrobatic potential of the Tiger, the Q50 is easier to fly. The Q50 is a solid stable machine.

Since it's on a Quick, here's the results of my new laser engraver/cutter. A 40 watt Mercury. It marks the metal parts perfect. Tailboom is next. Fun and addictive work. Send me your anodized bling!!

Heli's just mock me then crash....

Q50 PRO 3D capable?
Stable and precision flying is great and I'm sure the Q50 will do this quite well. Quality and stability are AWESOME design features to have in a heli. Irwin has definitely achieved this. However, as a 3D capable machine what are the physical limitations regarding the Quick 50/PRO. How does the design of this model limit it's 3D capability? Can this machine be altered to be an aerobatic 3D machine or is it limited for FAI stable precison flying solely?

Does anyone fly the Q50 PRO with the OS 50 Hyper and perform extreme 3D maneuvers? Or is this type flying best left to other models?

I'm NOT looking for any model bashing. Just a true 3D flight characteristic expectation.

Thanks..

Newtron -I have the Quick 50 Pro w/Hyper 50. Depending on how old your copter is it will have the single or Double spindle in it. Quick just changed most of there head units to single exept the one for there new gasser.

Single Spindle - I can do nice tight rolls and Tall loops (Still breaking in the engine). I expect it to be able to do all the tricks in the book as I learn them.

Double Spindle - I have on my Big Bertha and my 30 Pro. Very smooth head unit and stable but not a HARD CORE 3D set up. Will it to all the tricks in the book? I see no reason why it would not... they will just me a little slower and smoother. That is why I keep my flying style with my BB to FAI Style.

Both are great head units are stable in hover and FF.

Q 50 NO LIMITATIONS...
We have in production now new hiller arms to advance the timing.
However this can easily be fix by your self by taping & moving the pivot stud ball to advance the timing....

However I have flown the 50 & have seens some great 3d flyers with our 50 showing no limitations....however with by advancing the timing
you can keep it closer to the ground getting the faster response one may require....

The new Big Bertha & GAS HER head has the most rigid dampening on the market....now with the new hiller arms with the advance timing possibility our machines can compare to any other machine on the market for fast three D response....

if any one wants to test & post plesase let me know...

Thanks Irwin
