ill move UP to big/gassers later...balde is cheap and fun...DEFINANTLY convert it to a GOOD radio (like futaba 7c)...

---> Blade CP, T-Rex, MX-400, QJ-8, QJ-16 No Gass, only Electric!

Hello to all

I too was a glow pilot since the 80s and just got back into flying my helis again after a long hiatus. I not only found happiness with electrics, I was overjoyed at the fact that I could spend 220.00 and be up and flying in 2 hours and you could fly it anywhere. The noise level is soooo much better, I used to spend soooo much and got very little for my money and now I'm spending sooo little and getting sooo much out of this heli thats its ridiculous. Parts are cheap and I like that. I don't have to lug around my gallon jug of fuel and my tool box anymore ;O) I don't have to spend 600.00 plus just to go flying anymore. I still own my fuels helis, but as of now electric for me is in. I like the quietness and fly anywhere without disturbing mode. I couldn't do that with my fuel helis period. Jimmi

Well.......
My answer to my question.
YES A glow pilot can find happyness with an electric.
Even a Cheap Blade CP.
The best part is the CRASH Cost, Plowed into my house and it costs me 1 blade and 1 main shaft with gear ( gear was OK )
The second best part
This thing will really hone my R50 flying skills. CRB68 is Right on with this one.
A CP and an R50 is like night and day for stability.
I am currently using my Eclipse 7 with the CP.
Much nicer flying then the stock Tx.

Fred..

Hey Jimmi,, Wait till you try a Trex or something of that caliber too,,you will be amazed. I love all my heli's a Blade CP,,Trex 450XL,,Shogun V1 [retired] Rappy 30 and Rappy 50 Hyper. don't have a favorite except the one I'm flying at the moment . They are all so different.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I hear you Turboomni

Just flying the blade for now but the T rex is going to be in my stable s0on Turboomni. I'm sure it flys rock solid as I've read all the threads on it and there all positive. The night ranger 3D I hear is another little crisp rock solid flyer with alot of power for the inexpensive price. Jimmi
