Any help appreciated guys. Runnig HS81's on my 120 CCPM ECO 8 and I ahve also fitted longer servo arms t ogive me +/- 10 degrees.

Problem is that when I put in negative and drop down then quickly put in positive it takes an age to decide to climb.

Servo bounce ?. Have the longer servo arms meant less torque and it cannot handle such a change?

It wasnt like this with the stock servo arms and 90 degree CCPM.

Any thoughts?

Running Hacker B5-18s, 3S/2P and loads of upgrades !

I would say its because of the reduced torque or that your loosing too much headspeed have you noticed any drop in the headspeed with the new pitch parameters as if you have increased the pitch you will have also increased the drag the blades induce.

Alaso I have the bell hiller mod on mine and manage to get 20.5 degrees of pitch range if that aint enough for anyone i dont know what is.

look at the dream-models site for info on this upgrade if your interested in doing it

hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I think it is reduced torque and the servos just cannot handle it. New 5.4kg twin BB metal geared just purchased and will be fitted for the weekend.

I have loads of upgrades on my heli including a full head and metal washout. Head has the bell hiller mod done.

Regards

Mick

New servos fitted but still the same problem. No power. See my other post re power.

Pitch is correct I am positive ! There is no binding of the gears.

I am going to try a 10 cell nicad and try to rule out the lipo.

Ive recently had a few problems with the way my servos and gyro were running they seemed to be loosing power and that ever since i added the new motor and esc.

put in a 4.8v rx battery pack its 1100mah lasts about 8 flights (easily) and seems to have all of the electronics sorted all of the way through got rid of every single small problem ive ever had with it at.

it doesnt seem to even fly any less than it did with the additional weight in fact if anything it lasts a little longer but the tail doesnt go weak near the end try it you wont look back

Thanks for the response. I am running a separate rx pack. Its safer !.

My heli did have plenty of power and now its crap !. Im going to try a 10cell nicad instead of the 3s/2p just to try and discount my cells. I never take more than 75% out of my cells and they are not that old - surely they are ok.

A brushless motor either works or not it doesnt lose power.

back to drawing board and checking pitch set up etc

how many flights did you have before your power loss?

are you sure the connectors in your cables to the motor arnt shag*ed i had that trouble once with the connector to the esc from the batt.

right now i cant think what else can be wrong ah... is your auto hub ok, charger problems, tight timing belt, god its past my bed time lol i really cant think of anything else.

hope this helps a little
