11t at 95-100% throttle will give you approx 2400rpm
13t at 95-100% throttle will give you approx 2900rpm

You shouldnt go over about 2500 with the stock wood blades.
So you should probably use the 11t pinion if you use wood's, if you use carbons you can use the 13t pinion.

What i am doing is i have the same motor with the 13t pinion and wood blades, i just lowered the throttle down a bit more in the curves to keep it around 2500. but if you are using it in governer mode, this will not work because the throttle isnt high enough to tell the esc you are in that mode.

Thank you Osiviper
Will do as suggest........... i'm very new at this really don't know about curve yet don't have radio yet or tail servo.... but i do understand rpm. I have Align 35a brushless ESC (RCE-BL35G) Will the rpms read out on a 9c futaba or any radio..............?

Only way to see what rpm you have is get a tachometer,, radio wont tell you neither will esc.

You just set a percentage for throttle curve between 0% (No throttle) and 100% (Full throttle).

lil_Joe,
Use the 13 tooth pinion. I started with the 11 tooth and revved the motor up very high using throttle curves of 100,95,85,95,100 in Idle1 and Idle2. Now with the 13 tooth and slightly lower throttle curves I have more torque and less bogging. With the Align 35amp ESC I have my Idle1 throttle curves set to 90,80,70,80,90. RPM is right around 2450 most of the time. Idle2 is still 100,95,85,95,100 so it revs quite high. I add that I am using carbon rotor blades for the high rpm.

Gary, i have the same normal and idle 1 throttle curves.
My idle 2 is up by 5% on each as not to kill the wooden blades.

I put them on just once to see and hovered it.. the blades were flexing up at about a 15-20 degree angle.
