Hummer V3 -- Replace Tail Boom?
This is my first post -- but I've been reading you guys for a while. Thanks for your shared heli-wisdom. I'm a newbie and my first heli is a hummer v3. I had a little crash and broke the tail boom. I've got a replacement, but I'm looking for instructions on how to replace. The broken one seems very tight (or glued???). Any tips on how best to proceed?

I bought a aluminum frame and boom from a seller on the bay to replace those on my V3. Too many had landings broke BOTH the boom and the frame in the area where the boom attaches to the frame

the boom is fiberglass and is glued into the frame and tail rotor (TR) motor mount. I had to used a dril bit and carefully drill out (using my hand only NOT an elec drill) the old booms fiber glass and at the same time NOT increase the inside diameter (ID) of the TR motor mount. Since your still using the OE plastic frame with your V3 you will have to 'drill out' the frame as well.

From memory the tail booms are cyano'ed in. Try soaking the joints with debonder and you should be able to twist and pull the broken parts out.
