I got an Otter 35a esc for my ccpm Trex from the local align dealer.
First one let the smoke out and melted the frame before it even got spooled up to flying speed.
This was replaced promptly.
Second one did 3 nice short flights ( only had some 1250 ma packs ) then I got a 2100ma pack and went to fly, and again just spooling up, out comes the smoke with sizzling and and a little light show as it further melted the frame.
The supplier has sent yet another controller out to me telling me the manufacturer has "reprogrammed" it so there should be no problem.
Q1 Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Q2 How can reprogramming an esc stop them self destructing?
Q3 How well does the Trex auto rotate just incase the esc decides to play its little game again but while I am flying?
